The Maze Runner is the first book in a young-adult post-apocalyptic science fiction trilogy of the same name by James Dashner. The novel spawned two sequels: The Scorch Trials (2010) and The Death Cure (2011).
Protagonist Thomas (More) is brought into a place known as the Glade, with no memories except of his name. He and other teenage boys call themselves Gladers, and have made a community in which each is assigned to a task belonging to different departments headed by a Keeper. The Glade is surrounded by a gigantic Maze in which mechanical creatures called Grievers roam at night. Huge doors around the Glade close at sunset. Supplies are brought to the Glade every week; whereas a new boy is sent through an elevator called the Box once every month. The day after Thomas is brought to the Glade, a girl is sent with a note in her hand that reads “She is the last one EVER”.

The Scorch Trials is the second book—preceded by the 2009 novel The Maze Runner—in a young-adult dystopian science fiction trilogy by James Dashner. With The Death Cure (2011) finish the trilogy.
Thomas and the other Gladers have (More) escaped the maze and are put into a dormitory. The next day, the Gladers are in another dormitory, and people called Cranks are moaning and screaming through the windows of the room. The Gladers leave the room, only to find dead bodies hanging from the ceiling, and later find that Teresa, the only girl in their group, has gone missing. Thomas tries to find her with his friends Minho and Newt; instead, they find a boy named Aris, who says that he was in another Maze before with all girls, referred to as Group B, and woke here. The Gladers discover they are all marked with tattoos and titles: Minho is “the Leader,” Newt “the Glue,” and Thomas “To Be Killed By Group B.”

The Death Cure is a 2011 young-adult dystopian science fiction novel by James Dashner and the third book in the Maze Runner Trilogy. It was first published in hardback on October 11, 2011 through Delacorte Press and was preceded (More) by The Maze Runner and The Scorch Trials.
After the events of The Scorch Trials, protagonist Thomas is held in solitary confinement, but is eventually released. He, along with some others, soon learns from Assistant Director Janson that the claim of a cure for the Flare (a deadly disease) was a lie. However, while many of the people present are immune, not all are, and many in the outside world despise the immune. The Gladers are offered the chance to restore their memories, and it is also revealed that the controlling device in their brains will be removed in the process. This means that Thomas, Teresa, and Aris will no longer be able to communicate telepathically. Most accept the procedure except Thomas, Minho, and Newt, who are later forced into the process but escape with the help of Brenda. It is revealed that Newt is not immune to the Flare.

The Maze Runner (titulado El corredor del laberinto en España y Correr o morir en Hispanoamérica) es el primer libro de la trilogía literatura juvenil de distopía y ciencia ficción.
Al despertar dentro de un oscuro ascensor en (More) movimiento, lo único que Thomas logra recordar es su nombre. No sabe quién es. Tampoco hacia dónde va. Pero no está solo: cuando La Caja llega a su destino, las puertas se abren y se ve rodeado por un grupo de jóvenes (todos hombres). “Bienvenido al Claro/Área, Novato”.
El Claro/Área es un espacio abierto cercado por muros gigantescos llenos de vegetación. Al igual que Thomas, ninguno de ellos sabe cómo ha llegado allí. Ni por qué. De lo que están seguros es de que cada mañana las puertas de piedra que los separa del laberinto que los rodea se abren y por la noche, se cierran. Y que cada mes alguien nuevo es entregado por el ascensor. Hasta que Teresa Agnes aparece, y cambia la vida de todos los integrantes del área.
Completan la trilogia: Las pruebas y La cura mortal.

Resolver el laberinto se suponía que era el final. No más pruebas, no más huidas. Thomas creía que salir significaba que todos recobrarían sus (More) vidas, pero ninguno sabía a qué clase de vida estaban volviendo. Árida y carbonizada, gran parte de la tierra es un territorio inservible. El sol abrasa, los gobiernos han caído y una misteriosa enfermedad se ha ido apoderando poco a poco de la gente. Sus causas son desconocidas; su resultado, la locura.
En un lugar infestado de miseria y ruina, y por donde la gente ha enloquecido y deambula en busca de víctimas, Thomas conoce a una chica, Brenda, que asegura haber contraído la enfermedad y estar a punto de sucumbir a sus efectos. Entretanto, Teresa ha desaparecido, la organización CRUEL les ha dejado un mensaje, un misterioso chico ha llegado y alguien ha tatuado unas palabras en los cuellos de los clarianos. La de Minho dice «el líder»; la de Thomas, «el que debe ser asesinado».
La tercera y última parte se titula La cura mortal.

Desde hace tres semanas, Thomas vive en una habitación sin ventanas, de un blanco resplandeciente y siempre (More) iluminada. Sin reloj y sin contacto con nadie, más allá de las tres bandejas de comida que alguien le lleva a diario (aunque a horas distintas, como para desorientarle).
Al vigésimo sexto día, la puerta se abre y un hombre le conduce a una sala llena de viejos amigos.

The Kill Order is a 2012 young-adult dystopia science fiction novel by James Dashner and the prequel to his Maze Runner trilogy. The book was released on August 14, 2012 through Delacorte Press and is set 13 years before the (More) events of the original novel.Of the novel, Dashner stated that he wanted to expand the world but not focus on the main characters of the main Maze Runner trilogy. He also stated that he had originally planned to write a prequel for the series, but that the plans did not become official until he had completed the third book in the trilogy.A sequel has been announced, taking place after the novel but before the events of the original, titled The Fever Code, is due publication in 2016.
