Rosalinda, Beigbeder y todos los contactos pro-británicos con los que Sira se relaciona en África, la irán envolviendo en un ambiente de informantes y espías: la psicosis creada por el futuro estallido de la II Guerra Mundial y la posible alineación de España con los alemanes, hace que todo el mundo investigue a todo el mundo. Al final, también Sira se convertirá en una de ellos y su atelier, al que acuden todas las alemanas de postín, en el punto neurálgico del que salen jugosas informaciones que, sin embargo, ponen en peligro la vida de la protagonista.
